November

Yay for thank-you messages; always really satisfying, even more so when you can put them on the mantelpiece:

An M&S card no less!

It's just as nice to hear when newlyweds add to their family; we have a few baby portrait sessions in the offing :)

October

Cardiff was indeed sunny for the marriage of Emma & Jason. We had a great day so it was well worth the journey - plus we got to meet some old friends from a wedding last year.

15 September 2008

September

Safe to describe our day as wet at The Falcon Inn, Castle Ashby for the marriage of Anna & Jamie. Nonetheless it was still good fun, even if the schedule had to go out the window to fit in all the cloud burst dodging.

Nervous anticipation

Caution Children Playing ;)

Shortly after this shot Cathy & i had to use a reflector as a make-shift shelter :)

This wedding was also a chance to get out the Holga and Polaroid for something a little different with film.

The end of the month will see us back down in sunny [sic] Cardiff with Emma & Jason.

12 August 2008

August

Finally got some great weather for the wedding of Cerys & Keir at Wadenhoe House. A great day packed with laughs and beautiful moments.

10 July 2008

July

Torrential rain gave way just in time - Cathy's lucky shirt strikes again - for the wedding of Alex & David in Lincoln. Special thanks to Patti and family for making us so welcome, see you again in August :)

We also managed to beat the showers a bit closer to home with Laura & Luke. The atmosphere was just right, plus one of the better Best Man's speeches too.

12 June 2008

June

We were over in the Cotswolds for the wedding of Adriana and Eddie. A very funny day filled with warmth, humour and great music. Looking foward to meeting a few of the congregation next year by Lake Windermere for the marriage of Nicky & Rick

plus a few pre-wedding meets this month:

An interesting night at WRFC for the annual Captain's Dinner

Unfortunately had an "Apprentice moment" with a dodgy printer; such is the lot of event photography. Weddings are definitely less stressful!
See here for all the images.

Dani G
I was in Manchester for a few days this week. Dani G was a lot less intimidating than the hordes of Rangers fans annexing the city. If you're wondering about the fashion sense, he's an accomplished Ali G tribute act.

Portraits of the Dhillon Family

starring the aptly named Angel

Wellingborough Clinch the League:

Champions on points difference! Well done to all concerned.
See the rest of the shots here (a couple of which were published in the Evening Telegraph).

February

Ok, so not had much of a chance to blog lately, so here's a few quick tidbits

Some portfolio shots for Pretty:

Captured the action as Wellingborough RFC went top of the league:

That proved the winning score :)

In my spare time, i've returned to film - specifically medium format and polaroid. It's just gorgeous:

Sadly Polaroid film is soon to be no more. Please someone pick up the licence; nevermind eye teeth, i'd give the whole set!!

On an even more serious note, we recently returned home to find a terrible crime scene:

It's not clear if this was an accident or something.... well, more premeditated. Ernie just kept saying, "You're it Bert....Bert you're it". Still gathering the facts.

Wedding Albums

I'll now be offering the Madison: a 10x10 inch album, with 10, 15 or 20 leaves. There are no overlays, which reduces cost but with no compromise on quality. Includes a magnetic clasp and presentation box. A very solid, well built item that will last a lifetime. Available in Ivory (pictured) or Black.
